- In an effort to gauge which sectors are most concerned about tariffs, the next chart illustrates mentions of tariffs in S&P 500 earnings transcripts from 1/1/24 through 3/1/25.
- Mentions of tariffs jumped to a total of 398 mentions in February 2025, up from 218 mentions in January 2025. In March 2025, mentions have totaled 320.
- The sector Industrials talked about the tariffs the most with 103 mentions in March 2025, 119 mentions in February 2025 and 56 in January 2025.
- After Industrials, the sectors Consumer Discretionary and Health Care had the highest number of mentions in March 2025 at 44 and 38, respectively.
